Collection: Fundraiser for Heather

Everything here will be made to order with 100 percent of the proceeds going to my friend Dustin who recently lost his wife to a battle with cancer.

This isn’t easy to write: in 2021 I launched a project called @protectblackbodies

The original goal was to raise money for different causes that involved different intersections of Black People who faced even more marginalization and donate money to different orgs that supported that cause. Proceeds went to paying for the tuition of Black children who needed to attend schools for the blind to paying to arm Black Women and educate them in arms safety.

In that time the laptop I was using was crashing and I could not afford a new one and I launched a gofundme to help raise funds so I could continue my various projects. The very day I launched I received a phone call from @xbigriffx (Dustin). His wife Heather had a brand new 2020 MacBook in the box that she wanted to donate to my cause. No strings attached.

This laptop did everything for me. I was able to create new designs, record new music and journey into doing music videos. That same laptop was used to write various Zulu songs and execute Zulu music videos.

So fast forward to a couple of weeks ago it broke my heart to discover Heather was battling cancer for a second time and it had come back aggressively. My initial plan was to re release some of these designs to raise money to donate to Dustin in Heather while they were unable to work but unfortunately a few days ago I learned of Heathers passing.

I’m not often public about a lot of my motivations for things but I have to make this known. Heather and Dustin’s single act of kindness added such an immense value to my life that trickled on to those around me. That is something I can not put words to it or quantify the value.

With that being said I am re releasing a bunch of designs next week on Tuesday and 100 percent of the proceeds will be going to @xbigriffx to help cover any of the expenses that have occurred in this process. This post is just a preview and a heads up. Everything will be made to order. If there are old designs that you’ve seen and wanted let me know and I will add it all to the store starting Tuesday.
